When is band camp and is it mandatory?
Band Camp is typically within the first two weeks before the first day of school. This is a mandatory event for all members of the Pride of the Pack. Dates and times are subject to change, so be on the lookout for updated information!
How much does it cost do join the Pride of the Pack?
From Centennial's yearly athletic fee of $100 to the fair share fee required by the band boosters organization, costs may range from $150-$300. The costs may vary depending on the needs of the current show as well as what is needed for the members.
What kind of time commitment is involved?
We take a lot of your time as we just can't get enough of you! A typical week for the Pride of the Pack consists of 2-4 events a week. From after school practices on Tuesday and Thursdays, Friday night football games, and Saturday competition festivals, students are encouraged and required to participate in all events.
Does the Pride of the Pack travel?
Friday football wouldn't be the same without us! At every football game home and away you can find the Pride of the Pack cheering on the Centennial Varsity team.
Do I earn course credit for being in marching band?
Yes! Enrolling in Centennial's marching band class using the code 14100 enrolls members in a daily class taken first period during the fall semester. Students earn their school mandated P.E. credit as well as a Fine Art Credit. Yay!
Why should I join the Pride of the Pack
Despite all the hard work put in, it will be one of the most rewarding classes you'll ever take. Plus we would love to have you!
